Nicole Boenawan Boutique

Located in West Jakarta, this project transforms a private residential space into an elegant boutique showroom for Nicole Boenawan’s label. The challenge was to design a space for fittings and appointments that no longer felt like a house, but rather a refined and purpose-built destination for clients.

To achieve this, we worked with the existing architecture, repurposing a raised platform area as the foundation for two fitting rooms. These fitting rooms are designed with flexibility in mind—they can be used separately or combined into one larger space to accommodate various appointment needs. Throughout the project, we developed a new visual identity for the brand through a material palette that merges tradition and modernity. Elements like stainless steel introduce a sleek, refined edge, while classic touches such as wainscoting ground the space in timeless elegance.

White was chosen as the primary color to evoke a bridal ambiance and allow the vivid tones of the cheongsams to take center stage. To keep the monochromatic scheme rich and layered, we used a variety of white finishes—smooth painted walls, textured surfaces, high-gloss panels in the meeting area, and white marble detailing on furniture. Flowing curtains are strategically placed to conceal doors, further distancing the space from its residential roots. A warm-toned wooden floor with subtly accentuated patterns anchors the showroom and adds contrast, helping define the different zones without rigid separations.
