The Mattel Lean Center is a dedicated facility within the factory designed to support discussions, training sessions, and presentations centered around Lean methodology. At the entrance, a small rest area provides a space for factory workers to unwind, featuring seating and playful interactive elements that encourage casual socializing. This front zone also serves as a waiting area before users proceed into the main Lean Center space.
Inside, the main room is designed to comfortably accommodate up to 56 participants. A movable partition allows the space to be split into two separate rooms, enabling parallel events to take place. Each half is independently equipped with its own multimedia control room and pantry, ensuring functional flexibility. The floor is marked with red lines to indicate the fixed positions of each of the 56 tables, and with smaller blue markings to guide users when shifting into “discussion mode,” where tables are grouped in clusters of four. All tables and chairs are fitted with caster wheels for effortless movement between layouts.
The aesthetic approach of the Lean Center balances industrial clarity with comfort and adaptability, creating an environment that encourages productivity, collaboration, and ease of use.
