The C N Tower toilet revitalization project is located on Sudirman Street, Jakarta, within one of the city’s landmark office towers, first opened in 1993. The renovation covers both male and female restrooms on the podium and typical floors, aiming to update the spaces while honoring the building’s original tone of classic luxury. The design maintains core materials such as marble, terrazzo, and stainless steel, while incorporating new touches to create a fresher, more refined atmosphere.
Fresh elements include the use of an acrylic grid ceiling below plane lighting, introducing a clean, diffuse glow, and patterned glass panels placed in front of tube lights around the mirror areas, adding visual depth and texture. Gender identity is subtly reinforced through green tones in the men’s rooms and red tones in the women’s, reflecting the original design cues. An ablution space is also provided, concealed behind a dark etched glass sliding door that opens with a wave sensor—ensuring privacy, ease of use, and a seamless integration into the overall design.
